Our Ethos

RGT was originally founded in 1970 by Blacksmith Reg Hill who began his working career in the late 1940’s making products using traditional blacksmiths techniques. The business is now family run by his son Gary and grandson Chris. Gary became MD in 2000 when Reg retired from the company and went on to establish another successful business. Throughout the years ,RGT has made excellent progress in establishing itself as a strong competitor in its core market centred around commercial vehicle coach building activities.

From the initial founding of the business right through to present day, RGT has continually embraced the use of new technology and uses the latest, efficient manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines and turning centers, fiber lasers, CNC press brakes, conventional presses (up to 250 tons), TIG , MIG and pulse MIG welding of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. In addition, the very latest CAD techniques are applied as part of our robust design and development process.

With a dedicated and skilled team of employees, we pride ourselves on offering a highly flexible and versatile CAD design and prototyping service. We are equipped to handle production batches including specific one off pieces up to batches of 1000 and above, all finished to an exceptionally high level of manufacture and backed up by our renowned service standards. Whatever the batch size or specific manufacturing design need we will endeavour to deliver very high levels of both quality and service.
